My Experience

I have been a qualified Nursery nurse for 24 years working in large day nusery's as a deputy managers and baby supervisor of a 12 place baby unit. I have been a registered Childminder for the past eighteen years working with all age ranges, from birth to 13 years. I have also been very fortunate to care for children who have social and emotional needs and who are on the Autistic Spectrum and have worked closely with special needs co-ordinators from Portage and Thomas outreach organisations identifying childrens needs within the home setting and building childrens foundations for them to prepare for pre-school. I am also a Registered Sitters child carer. I was an accredited network childminder where I last lived, Which represent excellent childcare skills. To maintain this level I was monitered and assessed by an NCMA co-ordinator throughtout the year and attend courses and training nights each month in the evenings and at weekends to gain higher knowledge and up to date training and qualifications within my chosen field. I provide a lot of activites in the day for the children to promote thier overal developement. I devise themes for the setting the children have new topics every 8wks to ensure they get the most fun and enjoyment in the days I care for them, they also have their own personal developmental file, which is sent home every term with pictures of activities and observations etc.
For children who attend in holiday time or after school I have extensive arts and crafts, board games etc to keep children entertained, if we go on any outings it's on wood land walks, beach walks, rock pool challenges etc with activity sheets for children to find explore etc or if numbers are low and we go somewhere that requires entrance fee that will be covered by myself no charge to the parents. Children love October half term as we make the week full of arts and crafts baking, science experiments, and end the week we have a Halloween party, full of old fashioned games and fun, even if a child doesn't enjoy parties I'm very sensitive to every individual child's needs and ensure everyone has a fantastic day.
When I am babysitting in the evening I usually ask the parents input into what their children enjoy playing with etc and bring along a bag full of toys activities etc to make the child/ren feel more comfortable with a new person coming into their home setting.

My Availability

I can work any days and week nights. I am available as a babysitter in the evenings at parents home from 6pm until anytime required. I am very flexable and can be available at short notice if required.

I am available for childminding from 6am- Finish I can work as late as parent requires.

If Parents require school holiday cover only for their child parents will be charged £5 per hour for only the hours, they use and require!

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.10 per hour
• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour

£5.10 per hour for under 4’s

After school per session £9 from 3pm-6pm snack included, can work as late as parent requires, after 6pm £5 per hour until collected.
For evening work in childs homes I charge £10 per hour.
