My Summary
From September 2024 I Will Have Space For One Child Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
About Me
I am currently at full capacity until September 2024. Please enquire in advance to secure a space.
Hi,
My name is Pauline, I'm 37 years old and live in Long Ashton. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, and have dedicated my education and career helping children be healthy, stay safe, enjoy life, achieve and develop as well-rounded individuals. I have a distinction level qualification in childcare, with 24 years experience in various childcare roles; including over 15 years as a self employed Childminder and Nanny & 12 years as a Mother.
Whilst I like to develop a close and caring relationship with children, I also believe that professionalism and consistency are the foundation blocks of being a successful nanny. I have considerable experience in supporting young children to develop their creativity, literacy, numeracy, emotional and social skills through constructive play and will be happy to work with parents to implement developmental plans in all of these areas.
I live with my husband of 15 years and our a son who is 12 years old; he is a bright and well-mannered young boy. He goes to Backwell High school full time and attends a few clubs after school in the week. We also have a cat and a dog; they’re used to children of all ages and are very gentle and well behaved.
I can offer care from children aged from birth upwards from my home in Long Ashton. My husband, son and I live in our lovely home, just off the cycle path and next to some beautiful countryside and forests that we explore every day. We have a play room to rival most toy shops, a garden with many activities and a playhouse. That said, we like to spend most of our time on forest walks or on days out at places like the Zoo or nearby farm.
- I drive a modern large and very safe car on a clean license - held for 16+ years without a single fault accident or conviction.
- I have DBS check every year (previously known as CRB).
- I have a full Paediatric First Aid Course
- I can provide excellent professional and character references
- I have full insurance with public liability cover
- I am Ofsted registered with a rating of Good
I would welcome a chance to meet you and your child/ children and get to know more about them and you and how I could fit with your family and childcare needs.
Please message if you have any other questions
Look forward to hearing from you : )

Our first child so additional nerves when dropping him off for the first time but Pauline put us at ease immediately.
Albie loved every moment spent with Pauline and nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond in providing advise and tips when Albie would play up at home.
Creative, loving, caring, fun and a super safe pair of hands. We could not recommend Pauline highly enough.

Pauline has provided the best childminding service our family could have hoped for. She is always professional, caring, calm and kind. Having breast-feed and been inseparable with my daughter, it was such a big thing to return to work and trust someone else with her care. Pauline took away all that worry. She was brilliantly supportive and patient (with me!) and my daughter took to her instantly, they are the best of friends.
They spend their days playing, learning and going for walks. There is a keen focus on learning & development, but if my daughter is teething they have cuddles and read books – my daughters favourite things! Pauline always recognises what she needs and adapts accordingly with the most upmost of care.
She has a wealth of experience and always offers good advice, if asked.
Pauline keeps me constantly updated and I love seeing the real time pictures of what they are getting up to each day. Her clean playroom is a great setting for learning and having fun, and her house is near nice footpaths and forests to play in. I highly recommend Pauline as a fantastic childminder.

Pauline looked after our son 2 days a week while we were at work. He settled very well and was excited to spend time with her. Pauline was flexible with timings and worked with what we needed. Pauline did lots of arts and crafts with our son and he loved this. Thank you Pauline .

Pauline looked after our son from when he was 9 months until he was 3 years old, spanning across the pandemic and beyond. She was absolutely brilliant and she's now taking care of our 11 month old! Pauline worked with all of our requests- to use washable nappies, altering nap timings (even when I'm sure it was a bit of a pain really!) and has always been very flexible and thoughtful. I feel incredibly lucky that we found her and would absolutely recommend her to others.

Pauline has looked after our daughter Evie for the last two years and we cannot recommend her highly enough. From the very first day Evie loved going to Pauline’s and just adores her! Her approach is second to none and from when we first met her and saw the setting at her house, we knew Evie was in very good hands! Great variety of play and learning, and daily forest walks meant Evie had just the best time every day and she made big friendships with her buddies. Pauline was also very flexible and accommodating if pick up times shifted a bit on occasions. We were very sad to say goodbye to Pauline at the end of the Summer but are just so grateful for her giving Evie just the best start into being looked after by someone other than us. We cannot recommend her more highly.
