Welcome to Zebra's Tots. I have three sons who I totally adore. I decided to fulfil my ambition and go into the field of childcare which I am very passionate about. This was after working in the City of London in the finance sector for 13 long years. In terms of struggles that parents go through trying to juggle work and life. I've experienced this first hand so I completely understand and will do my very best to be as flexible as I can in regards to your childcare needs. I am also able to spend more time with my boys which is a huge added bonus. Everyday is guaranteed to be filled with fun, happiness, laughter and loving care.
I live in Basildon, Lee Chapel North. I am 5 minutes walk from Janet Duke Primary School.
My garden is very child friendly with lots of age appropriate activities. The main play area is a dedicated conservatory purely used as a nursery which is bright colourful and filled with toys and lots more exciting things!
I have two assistants who are a huge help.
They are both safeguarding trained and qualified, Paediatric first aid qualified and both have enhanced clear DBS checks.
My Experience
I enjoy every moment of being in the company of the children. As my mum and sister are also childminders and also own a day nursery, I have grown up in a childminding home. I have a broad knowledge, understanding and experience of childcare. All children are treated as one of the family in our home. Lots of fun and laughter is guaranteed in our home. Activities daily such as arts and crafts, cooking with all children who get to take samples home for mum/dad/carer or siblings. We also visit parks and play games indoors and outdoors.
Activities are also featured around Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, Halloween, Birthdays etc.. There are too many to list :)
I also cater for children who have food allergies i.e. Wheat, dairy or celiac etc... I work very closely alongside parents, taking into account every child's dietary needs.
Weekly tasting sessions are now being introduced encouraging the children to sample different fruits/vegetables as part of healthy eating.
Photographs are taken whilst children learn (with parents/permission & consent) these will form part of the child's learning journey folder which parents will keep once completed. Also parents are provided with a daily contact book stating the activities their child have completed that day, the food they ate, the times they slept etc.. This will give parents a full 'picture' of their child's day.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour

All Meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) are included in my fees throughout the day plus mid morning and mid afternoon
We are now a FEEE registered provider for 3 & 4 year olds as well as 2 year olds (15 & 30 hour funding- subject to eligibility)
We accept various work place voucher schemes.

We were in need of help with our two kids and found Zebra Tots on childcare.co.uk. Got in touch with Zehra and she was very helpful and open to show the settings and explained very well what the children are doing during the day. Nico and Mircea enjoyed staying at Zebra Tots, there were lots of activities and we did receive photos of them playing, reading etc. My kids received a good care and enjoyed Zebra Tots childminder. Definetily will recomend.

We discovered Zebra Tots on this website, and it has been a wonderful experience. Our daughter, who struggled to settle at nursery for two months, transformed within a week or two at Zebra Tots. She began using a spoon to eat, a habit she never displayed at home, and became more communicative. The environment is impeccably clean and organized, and the childminders are lovely, hardworking ladies. We wholeheartedly recommend Zebra Tots.

I would highly recommend Zehra childminder services. I chose her setting as it felt very welcoming and homely which was great, as my son was only 13 months, and left at age 4 and recently started reception.
Zehra is very personable and so easy to talk to, which for me was super important when I had concerns about specific development needs for my son. We received regularly updates on my son’s learning activities, the daily coms book was a great way to see what he ate and his toiletries especially before he was potty trained. Zehra also shared the weekly food menu which was very helpful. My son really enjoyed his time at Zehra, to the point that it was a struggle to get him out the door during pickup!
The learning at Zebra tots was instrumental in helping my son’s speech development and social interaction with other kids. As he got older, the learning activities was also appropriate for his age in terms of alignment to preschool. I would have no hesitation to use Zehra again in the future. My son is already telling me to take his little baby brother to Zehra!
The learning book we received on his last day with Zehra was amazing, so much memories from when he started, his progression over the years. It was amazing that Zehra took the time to capture those moments.

My daughter had the best time of her life from 2019 until 2021. She was very said when she had to leave. But we kept in touch. Once again we used Zebras tots in 2022 his time for my son until 2023. I recommend her for everyone, kind, heartwarming, caring but also she will do her absolute best to make things work! The best way to describe my experience is I felt like I left my children with a family member. Just no worries and safe feeling.

Zehra was amazing with my two sons. They settled so well and loved attending. The drop off and collection is very easy and safe. I was never worried when leaving them. I got frequent pictures and videos to update me on what they were doing, and my 2 year old loved to tell me all about it. He brought home various painting etc. he came along way, he was very clever, he learnt alphabet, numbers and colours so quickly. He is now very advanced. Zehra assisted with my sons potty training also, which is very hard for anyone so I really appreciated the help and love I got from Zehra and the team. Xxx
