Hello,
My name is Laura, I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and I live in Cox Green Maidenhead. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have dedicated my education and career to helping children be healthy, stay safe, enjoy life, achieve and develop as well-rounded individuals. I have 23+ years of experience in various roles, including Nursery Room leader, professional Nanny, Childminder, Babysitter & a Mother.
Whilst I like to develop a close and caring relationship with children, I also believe that professionalism and consistency are the foundation blocks of being a successful Childminder. I have considerable experience in supporting young children to develop their creativity, literacy, numeracy, emotional and social skills through constructive play and will be happy to work with parents to implement developmental plans in all of these areas.
I have two children, my daughter (eldest) is 11 years old and my son is 7 years old. They both are bright and well-mannered children. We also have a dog Called Millie and she’s used to children of all ages and is very gentle and well-behaved.
I am providing childminding care in Cox Green Maidenhead from my home. I can offer care for children aged from birth upwards.
My husband, daughter, son, and I live in a lovely home in the heart of Maidenhead. We have a playroom to rival most toy shops, a garden with many activities; that said, we like to spend our time on forest walks or on days out at places like Ockwells Park, going to the river to feed the ducks, and watching the boats. We also enjoy trips to Windsor and other local attractions weather permitting.
All our children thrive in a happy, safe, secure, and stimulating environment and are encouraged to undertake a wide range of play & activities.
Child care vouchers and government funding is accepted (child tax credit, universal credit, and 15/30hrs funding)

- I have full insurance with public liability cover

My Experience
I have over 23 years of Childcare experience and follow the EYFS and encourage the children to develop socially, make friends, gain confidence, build self-esteem as well as having fun while learning whether it's indoors doing crafts, playing with toys, going to playgroups, or being outside releasing some energy in the fresh air.
I am Ofsted registered and I have taken various training courses in safeguarding, Behaviour management, SEN Trained, First Aid, and I have an NVQ level 3 in Childcare.

My Availability
My core hours are 8 am - 5:30 pm but am willing to start earlier and finish later should you need it.

I enquired for school pickups as this was listed on the profile. She also said she could direct me to other childminders in the area if she couldn’t help. Turns out she does neither.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Laura gives our two year old son. After taking the decision not to return to a nursery setting following the lockdown, I was a little anxious about finding childcare in a home environment having never done so before and I’m so glad we found Laura. Laura provides an enriching, creative and caring environment, with a variety of activities and learning through play. Communication is always excellent and Laura takes the time to send pictures, updates and is highly organised and very professional. Our son loves spending time at Laura’s, we couldn’t recommend more highly.

Laura was an invaluable help for us in this difficult times, she is very professional and kind with the little ones, my son is very fussy eating and she did her best for keep him fed.
Her place is very well organizer with a large garden, my son just loved, she kept him entertained and doing all sort of activities, since crafting to painting.
I can't recommend her enough, thanks Laura.

It is with great pleasure to recommend Laura as a childminder. She has looked after my daughter for two years since she was 11 months old, four times a week, in her home daycare setting.
She is warm, gentle, kind, caring, trustworthy, responsible, creative, dedicated, and loving.
Laura provides a setting for play based learning, a balanced program which includes stories, songs, themed craft activities, as well as free play experiences indoors and outdoors.
She is often in contact with us reaffirming that our daughter is happy and safe through conversations, text messaging and photos. Communication has always been open, thoughtful and helpful.
I highly recommend Laura to anyone who is looking for child care. I'm so grateful to her. My daughter absolutely loved time with Laura and her family and there has not been a single day where she has not been happy.

Laura looked after my 4 yr old over the summer holidays and she absolutely loved going there. She took them out quite often and has a very fun garden. they went out to age appropriate activities for trips and sent me good pictures all the time.
she is quite professional, gave detailed feedback to cover the activities of the entire day and kept my little one engaged.
she is very warm and friendly and the kids always had a good time.
