About Me
I am an OfSted Registered Nanny and a Babysitter with over 14 years’ experience as a Nursery Practitioner with 0-5’s, as well as having babysat on numerous occasions, particularly with children aged 6mth-5yrs. I have a gentle and calm personality which helps to give children comfort and reassurance and I understand the needs and care that very young children and babies require. My aim is to ensure the children’s needs are met and they are well looked after. I am registered on the DBS update service, have a current paediatric first aid certificate and have undertaken numerous other childcare courses. My Experience
I have over 14 years’ experience as a Nursery Practitioner in local nursery settings, working with ages between 6 months and 4 years. I have babysat regularly for a number of families with babies and very young children, undertaking all duties required including bottle feeding, changing, bathing and putting the children to bed. I also have experience of looking after children with special needs, both through babysitting and in my nursery work. I am married and we have 2 grown up children, for whom I took an active role in their care and upbringing.
My Qualifications
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
• Full Paediatric First Aid Course (12 hours)
• Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
• Various other childcare certificates available on request
My Availability
Sorry, but I am unable to take on any more families at the moment as I have enough work already. I currently work as a Nanny during the daytime on Tuesdays to Thursdays in addition to a number of families I also babysit for regularly.

Colin had been baby sitting for our now 2 year old for a while and is amazing. Always very helpful putting the little one to bed while we eat and thoughtful keeping us informed throughout the night. Colin is obviously very caring and passionate about working with children and this can be seen with how he interacts

Colin had previously babysat our twin boys and hadn’t seen them for a while as we got used to going out less following the arrival of our youngest boy.
Despite this, our elder boys immediately felt comfortable with him and began babbling about ‘Colin’ despite the fact they weren’t even verbal last time he met them. This is a testament to how relaxed he makes children feel
Our youngest baby isn’t as used to strangers, but Colin doesn’t let that phase him and remains a calm and relaxing presence
I would highly recommend Colin to parents needing a night off from the kids!

Colin has been babysitting for our boys (1.5 years and 5 years) for almost a year now and we’ve been very happy with him. He is always quick to respond to queries about his availability, comes on time, keeps us informed throughout the evening, and is able to put even our little one to sleep, which is a miracle. We are very happy with him.

From the moment we first met Colin he was affable, dependable and calm.
Colin is quick to respond to any requests for babysitting and our girls (1 and 5), bonded with him almost instantly. He will voluntarily ally any concerns with regular updates via text, which really enriches the time spend away.
In essence, his caring nature and attention to detail make him highly recommended from us.

Colin has babysat for our 2 boys consistently for a year now - he is key to our social life! He’s always very good with the boys (now age 1 and 3) and we feel comfortable leaving him to put them to bed. He always keeps us updated and we’ve not had any issues whilst we’ve been out so it means we can really relax, especially as he has so much experience working with children in his role at a nursery.
