I genuinely go over and above when teaching children because that’s where I get my joy!!
With my tutoring service - I give 110% tutorage, support and attention in person or online.
I’m so passionate that I have to say here- please don’t close your mind to the amazing input into your child by closing the door to my type of online tutoring! I’m sooooo enthusiastic for your son, daughter or grandchild to enjoy and experience maths tutoring that I do!!
It’s not only about children taking end of primary school exams -it’s about improving and being confident in their own maths skills full stop…. That’s priceless!!!

I am an enthusiastic year 6 specialist teaching assistant with a focus on maths tutoring.
My tutoring methodology:
- 1-2-1 session tailored sessions to a child’s individual needs.
- Keen to remove barriers in Maths one topic at a time
- I strive to deliver information in a clear and concise way so that children can understand and retain it.
- I actively break down complex problems into simple steps, equipping each child with methods and techniques to enable them to practice concepts and approach Maths questions confidently.
- I am determined to address any gaps in their Maths knowledge in order to ensure a good level of progress occurs across the subject
- I adapt and tailor sessions to each child’s individual needs
- I aim to boost confidence, self-esteem and independence
They will get to… yes, enjoy Maths and have an “I Can!” attitude as they improve their skills in this subject beyond their own expectations of themselves.
I am available to tutor KS2 Maths from my home/ yours or online on a 1-2-1 basis with children from Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 in order for them to be successful in key stage 2 Maths and reach their SATS year being fully prepared for their arithmetic and reasoning papers and be prepared for the start of secondary school.
My Experience
I am a Key stage 2 teaching assistant with the following experience:
- Year 6 Specialism – nearly 10 years’ experience in year 6 covering Maths, English/Reading and Grammar.
- extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum
- extremely versed on the KS2 requirements and preparation for success in their Maths SATS
- I lead higher level maths groups and booster classes
- I run maths clubs
- I work 1-2-1 with children
- run group interventions that have proven to help raise attainment
- provide intensive classroom support
- highly experienced with working with children of mixed academic abilities and needs.

- go the extra mile to make children feel secure in core numeracy: arithmetic and reasoning skills
- be helpful and effective in order to see the” light bulb” moment appear

- I am a previous investment banker fully qualified as a specialist TA with an immense amount of tutoring maths experience.
- I have an enhanced DBS check and I am also trained in child safeguarding practices.
- NCFE Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3
- NCFE Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3
- ACIB (Fully Qualified Associate of the Chartered institute of Bankers)
- BA (Hons) Financial Services 2:1

I have no words to thank teacher Caroline, she is amazing.
She has made my daughter's education more successful than I expected.
My daughter was doing very poorly in class before, and now she become the top 3 in her class now.
I am very thankful and grateful to Miss Caroline very much!!
Currently my daughter is still being taught by teacher Caroline and my
daughter will continue to study with her teacher until she enters secondary school.

Caroline helped my daughter with her sats.Caroline was always on time very polite and professional great fun and had a very calm approach with her teaching my daughter.My Daughter has grown in confidence thanks to Caroline.I would highly recommend Caroline xx

I was drawn to Caroline by the first line in her profile 'I hate maths..I can't do it!'. This is what my daughter in Year 5 told me all the time.
I'm absolutely delighted with Caroline. This is our first time using any type of tutoring and it couldn't be going any better! My daughter has grown so much in confidence since her sessions began.
Caroline seems to have a great rapport with kids and is very patient. It's never a problem for her to explain something over again. She is also very accommodating and happy to answer any questions between sessions.
I cannot recommend Caroline high enough. If you're thinking of a maths tutor, I would advise you to look no further:)

Being a teacher I was skeptical about whether I would be satisfied with a tutor for my son. During lockdown he became demotivated and was not the most studious of children beforehand to be honest, however, Miss turned his learning experience around. She is fun, committed and has great subject knowledge. I was unsure at first as I was unsure whether a teaching assistant would have enough subject knowledge and skills to engage and teach my son but wow Miss went far and beyond. She gave him regular homework (which she checked and gave feedback for), she played fun maths games and gave assessment practice papers. I could not recommend a better tutor. Even my son who does not like learning enjoyed the lessons and I would hear him having a laugh and engaging fully with his weekly lessons. Thank you so much C we will miss you x
