Welcome to North star childminder services .
I am a qualified Ofsted childminder living in Colchester pretty gate area. I lived with my husband and 3 children, 9 years, 7 years old and 2 year old. I have much experience in caring and looking after children from new born.
At North star Childminder services, the quality of care and love put in this work is very important to me. A home away from home services. I will look after your children like my own, providing individual needs to every child in my care.
Coming from a background of Hospitality and support worker for years, I have an excellent understanding of looking after someone's child and making the children feel at home, to me they are part of my family.
I also have excellent understanding in the early years foundation stage(EYFS) . I have a good understanding of Autism awareness and special needs for which I hold a diploma.
At North Star Childminder services, I start early and close late given parents who travel to work the opportunity to have the peace of mind by not rushing to get their children.
Early hours school club and after school club which Start from 7 am- 9 am, Serving and 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm St Thomas more Catholic school and pretty gate Primary school, Depending on the availability.
North star Childminder is located very closed to a lovely community park filled with lovely activities and community garden. Weekly trips to zoo and farms, Library and many more. North star is not just a place to bring your children but where everyone is family.
My Experience
Coming from a background as a support worker for years , I have an excellent understanding of looking after someone's child and making the children feel at home, to me they are part of my family.
Morning breakfast club and after school club serving Thomas Mores Catholic school and Pretty gate Primary Primary school.
Monday - Friday breakfast and after school club 6:30am- 9:00am and 3:00pm - 7pm.

My daughter has been with North Star Childminder for 4 months and it was been a wonderful experience! As a first time mum, Milly has provided a lot of reassurance, kindness and care towards myself and my daughter. I have seen a massive growth in her since starting with Milly and she is always happy and full of life at the end of the day. I don’t have to worry as I know she’s in good hands! Milly is kind, approachable and flexible when I’ve needed extra care and help with pick up and drop off. North Star provides excellent care and I can’t recommend enough. Thank you for all you Do!

Millie provides outstanding childcare, in fact our son is looked after like he’s one of the family. Millie focuses on our son’s development with his learning, manners and social skills which are all key for us. When we pick him up he always seems happy and content which is amazing and gives us the confidence he thoroughly enjoys his time with Millie. We also like the fact there is flexibility with the ability to add extra hours if needed and we’ve even sent our other young son to Millie when we’ve had emergency child care challenges. We cannot recommend North Star child care enough 10/10.

My name is JOLIE BADILA and Mrs Milly is my son childminder.
Mrs Milly is a very good lady, my son loves her very much, I am full time care assistant and if I'm at work I am not worried because I know my son is in a good hands. She is very kind, and very careful, I never had any issues with Mrs Milly so I will recommend everyone to her and you will never regret.

My daughter has been with Milly for over a year now and has settled in so well. I have had some challenges where I’ve needed extra and last minute care and Millie has been nothing but accommodating with this. Millie is a lovely person and my daughter has really warmed to spending time with her.

My daughter has been attending North Stars Childminder service since September and she has settled very easily. She enjoys the activities that she is offered such as dancing and singing, arts and crafts and playing outside in the garden. Millie offers healthy eating options and she tries her best to encourage this. Millie is flexible and happy to help when needed. Millie provides a home away from home environment that my daughter thrives in. There is clear communication between Millie and myself and I am always provided with an update at the end of the day. Millie is personable, funny, thoughtful and conscientious about the care she offers to my daughter. I would recommend Millie and North Stars Childminder Service to other parents.
