About Me
Hello, I'm Charlotte, and i'm currently hoping to find some nannying/babysitting work. I love working with kids and have 10 months of experience working as an Early Years Practitioner. In this role I worked with children whose ages ranged from 6months to 4years.
Additionally, I volunteered at a SEN school for four years, where I not only developed strong communication skills, but I also developed patience and a consideration for others.
The experience that provided me with the skills that I believe will be best applied to a nanny/babysitting role, would have to be my position at the Nursery. While occupying this position I spent most of my time in the 2-3yr room, where I would assist my senior with planning activities and the daily running of the room itself, which often involved multi- tasking and problem solving. In this position I had to ensure that I maintained good communication with parents, correctly informing them of any accidents/incidents throughout the day. Parents always had positive feedback about our interactions, one saying, ‘she always has a smile on her face’. It has brought me so much joy to help create a safe and nurturing environment for the children at the nursery. However, I have decided to continue my professional development elsewhere and am excited to explore where this may take me.
My Experience
Bank Nursery Staff | Shenfield Day Nursery | April 2023 – December- Working as a Bank staff has taught me how to look after the wellbeing of children and infants from 5 months to 5 years, I’ve learnt how to best react to behavioural issues and how to better enrich their education within the EYFS.
Babysitter| Various families | 2019-21 - I would look after some children whose families I knew from the local area. I did this whenever the parents required cover and learnt various skills like how to be patient in stressful situations.
Volunteer at Columbus SEN school - I volunteered at Columbus school in Chelmsford, a school for children with severe disabilities, we would attend every Thursday lunch hour, and lend a helping hand to the teachers. For instance, we would help bring the children in for class (2017-21).
