About Me
A recent graduate of the University of Aberdeen, I am a passionate tutor with experience working with a range of students including those with learning and/or physical disabilities. I believe learning is a lifelong process that should be cultivated with joy and fun early on. Having been a shy kid myself growing up, I am especially good with timid learners. But I'm also a big sister to a loud brother, so I can handle big personalities as well.
My Experience
Last year, I achieved an MLitt in History with Distinction from the University of Aberdeen. I also have a BA in Literature with First-class honours, a degree in which I also studied psychology, history, geology, and art history. My writing skills are evidenced by my additional honours certificate in Creative Writing. I am most comfortable teaching history, literature, reading, and writing, however, I am open to other subjects.
Furthermore, I have work experience as a Water Safety Instructor working with young children (including infants as young as six months) and teens. I have worked specifically with students with disabilities as a Teaching Assistant at a Preschool for children with autism as well as a Support Worker for university students with learning/physical disabilities.
