I am a very competent and professional nanny and have chosen nannying as my long-term career.
I am a passionate and nurturing nanny with an extremely hands on approach and can-do attitude. I enjoy having sole charge as well as working in partnership with other professionals and family members/parents.
I enjoy planning and shopping for meals/menus and will happily cook for parents when home, as well as getting the children fully involved in the process. In addition to this I am well versed in weaning including BLW
My experience in nannying is seeing if something needs doing to get on and do it, e.g. changing children’s wardrobe when they have outgrown their clothes or toys, supporting in selling and posting clothes and running errands as and when needed.
I have excellent communication skills, establishing routines with children, parents and other professionals.
I pride myself on my organisational skills and like to plan ahead for activities, holidays, school and extra-curricular activities. Throughout the year I keep up to date with festivals and celebrations and include these in my planning with the children as well as using their own interests to plan around and extend their learning through play.
Having worked in childcare and trained staff on how to work with children, I genuinely have a passion for working with children and supporting them to thrive.
I have a gentle approach with an excellent understanding of children's emotions and how to deal with said emotions.
I love the outdoors and have my own set of waterproofs for those rainy days with some lovely braces, I need to join in with the children in splashing in those puddles!

Gemma has looked after our children aged 6, 4 and 2 years. She is highly competent, totally capable of juggling multiple children of different ages. She is kind, bubbly, entirely reliable, punctual and simply a joy to have around. We have always been so impressed by her professionalism, the care and effort she goes to in making sure the children are looked after and safe at all times. She is very inventive with the activities she does with them, whether that be trips to the country park and playground, local library or staying at home and doing lovely crafts and games. Always cheerful, can-do attitude, children are magnetised to her! Kind, cuddly and fun. Would rely on her in all circumstances. The best nanny we have ever been lucky enough to employ.

She is the best, my baby was in love with her, so many activities, she is very patience, kind, nice: She is the BEST!! She bring some activities from home, and my daughter love it!! 10+🫶🫶🫶

It is my great pleasure to recommend Gemma as a nanny. She cared for our children from March 2018 through December 2021.
From the outset we were impressed by Gemma’s professionalism. She worked independently, making day-to-day decisions, planning and preparing meals, as well as coming up with ideas for activities that matched each child’s interests.
Additionally, Gemma is well-versed in child development due to her previous experience in nurseries and as an assessor. She used this experience to help some of our children learn early years curriculum and as a result they felt confident to begin Reception.
Gemma knows how to structure time well and was also flexible. She displayed excellent punctuality, reliability, and professionalism throughout her time with us and we would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

Overall
Gem was with us for just over 6 months and she was fabulous. The children settled very well with her especially my youngest. She was always setting up activities, doing home science club or role play etc with them all the time which they loved.
Gemma just fitted in so well, I needed someone to just come in and get on and that's what she did. Kept on top of the house, the washing, helped with food shops and made sure we knew of any school needs, helped prep dinners and went for endless walks, picnics, park visits and fun time outside.
The other lovely thing is that she is fun and relatable, we always had a giggle which really helped us feel relaxed and comfortable with her and very at ease when she took the children out and about.
She is very professional and obviously very passionate about what she does and I would 100% recommend to any family in need of a nanny to be by their side over the next few years it's so worth it ❤️
